Are Emus especially breeded for the oil?
The emu is a protected species in Australia. The emus have been breeded on special farms were the emu is being brought up in an animal friendly way. The emus have been breeded mainly for the meat. The meat contains a very low cholesterol percentage. From the fat, which is a by-product, the emu oil has been produced.

How is the oil been produced?
Similar to the fat hump of a camel, the fat hump of an emu is meant to protect the animal against extreme temperatures. The fat is being melted and carefully refined. About 100 kilo of fat will gain eventually about 50-90 kilo light yellow oil.

What's the difference between EmuCare oil and EmuCare cream?
Emucare Oil contains a high concentration of emu oil, which is particularly suitable to handle serious skin problems. However, the oil is a very greasy product and only a very small volume is sufficient to notice the effect. EmuCare cream contains a lower concentration of emu oil and is therefore less greasy. The cream is more suitable to handle less severe skin problems.
Our experience is that people with skin problems start at first with the oil. After controlling the problem the skin can be maintained with the cream.

Does EmuCare solve my psoriasis problem?
We have learned that the scaling and itching for people with psoriasis has been decreased within a couple of days. However, as soon as one stops with the use of EmuCare the psoriasis will return. EmuCare will not cure psoriasis, but controls it.
